First of all, let’s get this out of the way, I LOVE FOOD. I’ve always wanted to be thin, but it never has nor ever will happen because I like to eat. I’ve always said my love affair in life is with food. I guess I can blame the long line of great cooks that came before me. This line dates all the way back to the early 1900’s, starting with my great grandmother, Lucy Hancock, whom everyone called “Big Mama”. Big mama would get up and prepare full meals before the crack of dawn so “dinner”, or as we call it now lunch, would be ready after a full morning in the fields. Next, my grandmother Monte Hancock, a.k.a "Mammy", was a queen in the kitchen and had a lasting impact on everyone she cooked for. Her recipes are still used to this day throughout our family and at Hancock's. Last, but not in the slightest bit least, my mother, Pat Hancock, otherwise known by her grandkids as "Pattycake". She is to whom I owe the most for sharing this love affair with me.
Cooking has never seemed like a "job" to me because I genuinely enjoy it so much. I try many recipes, some turn out well, others not so much. Here at Hancock’s, our main goal is customer service. We strive to create simplicity by making time for each and every one of you. My way of contributing to this simplicity is by sharing my tried and true recipes. I would like to share the ones that my family and I say passes the “Hancock” taste bud test.

I will do my best to get back to you soon!
